On September 27th, 2024, Austin King made history by becoming the first person to drive a golf cart up Pikes Peak using a single Trojan Lithium™ OnePack™ golf cart battery. The golf cart, weighing 860 pounds plus a 190-pound driver, successfully climbed the 7,600-foot elevation change from the base to the peak with 26% battery capacity remaining3. The Ultimate Test of Battery Capacity and Reliability
To further prove the capabilities of the Trojan Lithium™ OnePack™ battery, Austin King transported a golf cart equipped with this battery from his facility in Fort Mill, South Carolina, to Pikes Peak. Pikes Peak, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, stands at 14,115 feet and has been a challenge for climbers, racers, and visitors since its discovery in 1806.
